This book lit! I am very nervous when I read booms from authors I dont know, but it was worth every minute of it. Well written.
This was a really nice book once I started reading I couldn’t stop! 3 days later I just finished the book this morning and I’m heartbroken by the ending!!!! 😩the author needs to quit playing with my emotions! Nonetheless the book was pretty good would like to read more books by him... 👌🏾💯
This novel brings me back to the days when I had my head down in an E. Lynn Harris novel, and just read and read until I was through a series in a matter of days! The story of Kwame and Braz is like none I've ever read. Their love story builds slowly and fills the reader with anticipation. Then when they finally do give in, it just feels right and real. But the underlying story of Kwame King's conscience and the constant battle in his head between right and wrong is the perfect subplot! I have read this book three times and I could read it a million more.
I can't recall the last time I've read a book where I felt so connected to the main characters. It takes A LOT for me to care about a character in a book, but the author pulled me in so deep that I couldn't help but to care about King AND Braz. I was so deep into both of their lives that I couldn't choose sides even I wanted to. This book took me through all kinds of emotions. One minute I was laughing, the next I was nodding my head, chapters later I was shaking my head and praying for the demise of certain people. Ultimately, I was left speechless. This is definitely a must read!!
This book was simply amazing. I love the roll coaster theme. If it’s not one thing it’s another. I am disappointed with the ending but would have thought it ended differently.
